Associate, Custody Operations-Settlement (Job Number: 1009388)

Responsibilities:
The individual in this position will manage and mentor a small team of Senior Operations Analysts/Operations Analysts. You will perform Control function checks to ensure the accurate and timely processing, and management/follow-up on operational queries by liaising with other teams to resolve issues, as well as review, investigate and resolve asset and cash breaks. Additionally, you will review operational issues, and ensure that procedures are up-to-date. You will also need to keep abreast of developments in the Securities Settlement Practices, and ensure compliance with regulations and policies. Furthermore, you will manage and follow-up on projects/tasks which may be assigned from time to time, conduct regular team meetings, and coach newcomers.
Requirements:
- Tertiary education
- At least three to five years of experience in Asset Servicing
- Good understanding of Operations procedures and system issues
- Resourceful and able to work under pressure with effective communication and analytical skills
- Knowledge of organizational behavior coupled with team management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Abreast of developments in the Securities Settlement Practices, and has the ability to ensure compliance with regulations and policies
